Celebrating the success of clinical research
In November 2025, we were engaged by Professor Michaela Lucas and her clinical research team at UWA, who are leading the PERTH Trial investigating exposure to plastic chemicals in adults across Western Australia.
We worked closely with the team to deliver a forum at the Harry Perkins Institute of Medical Research that celebrated the contribution of participants, shared key insights from the study, and thanked those who had taken part in Stage 3 of the trial for their involvement. The event provided an opportunity for researchers and participants to connect, recognise the impact of the research, and acknowledge the essential role participants have played in advancing the study.
Thank you for all your help in organising the PERTH Trial Low Plastic Forum. Your support was invaluable, from managing invitations and RSVPs and coordinating the flow of the day, through to thinking of all the finer details and assisting with the program and presentations. The event needed to balance the professional requirements of a clinical research environment with the importance of creating a warm and engaging experience for trial participants. It was essential that the event reflected the significance of their contribution, communicated the research in an accessible way, and provided an environment where participants, researchers and stakeholders could connect.
The project also required careful coordination across a university-led research team, venue and suppliers, while managing the governance, budget and operational requirements associated with delivering an event within a clinical research environment.

We provided clear project management and governance support, managing timelines, budgets and decisions while keeping planning straightforward for the organising team.
Our team coordinated registrations, delegate communications, venue, suppliers and production, with careful attention to the participant experience. On the day, proactive event management and an agile approach meant we could respond calmly to changes in timing and adapt the program as needed – keeping everything on track without disrupting the experience for participants, researchers and stakeholders.
Recognising contribution, sharing the impact
The reception successfully brought together Stage 3 trial participants and the research team in recognition of their contribution to the PERTH Trial. Strong participant engagement created an opportunity for researchers to share key study insights directly with those who had contributed to the research, while participants were able to connect with the team and better understand the value and impact of their involvement.
The event provided a meaningful conclusion to the Stage 3 participant experience and successfully recognised the important role of participants in supporting clinical research across Western Australia.
