Bringing together Western Australia's rural mental health community
The WA Rural and Remote Mental Health Conference is the state’s premier event for health professionals, organisations and community members committed to improving mental health outcomes across regional, rural and remote Western Australia. Hosted by WA Country Health Service, the conference brings together clinicians, researchers, consumers, carers, government agencies, non-government organisations and those with lived experience to share knowledge, strengthen partnerships and inspire new approaches to care. The 2025 conference was held in Busselton under the theme Breaking Barriers: Tackling Stigma and Promoting Mental Health Awareness in Rural Communities.

While the conference takes place over just a few days, planning begins many months earlier. Working with a committee spread across regional and metropolitan Western Australia required careful coordination to maintain momentum and keep decisions moving. The challenge was balancing diverse stakeholder expectations while navigating government procurement, governance and approval processes – all while creating an engaging, seamless experience for delegates.
Collaborative planning, expertly delivered
Our team worked closely with the organising committee throughout the planning process, providing the structure, expertise and communication needed to keep a complex conference moving forward.
We managed detailed project timelines, registrations and delegate communications, program and abstract management, speakers, sponsors and exhibitors, alongside conference branding, website development, travel, accommodation, venues and suppliers.
Regular committee engagement kept decisions moving and priorities aligned, while our on-site event management brought every element together to deliver a conference which met the education and social aspirations of delegates.
A shared passion, brought seamlessly together
The conference brought together people from across Western Australia with a shared passion for mental health, creating opportunities to connect, exchange ideas and learn from the experiences and expertise of others.
Delegates had their education needs met, while also enjoying the opportunity to network with others from across WA. For the organising committee, it was a successful event they could be proud of – with our team managing the logistics and operational detail behind the scenes so they could focus on their audience, content and purpose.
